things missing/missed
Obsidian Theatre
3522 White Oak Drive Houston
What are we missing? That's the simple question behind things missing/missed, a new production at Houston's Obsidian Theater. When actors Philip Hays and Melissa Flower teamed up with Dallas artist Justin Locklear to create this work of devised theater, the collaborators entered the rehearsal process without anything besides the question, "What are we missing?" The performance that came out of their discussions, improvisations and explorations blends T. S. Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock with the true story of a hermit who lived for 30 years in the wilderness of Maine. From these two elements comes an organic story that explores the sensations of missing and being missed.
