Escape to Margaritaville Opens Oct 31, 2017
The Hobby Center Escape to Margaritaville

Plan your escape to the new musical about the choices we make -- and the people we become -- once we've had a change in latitude. Escape to Margaritaville is the musical comedy getaway featuring both original songs and your most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including "Come Monday," "Volcano," "Cheeseburger in Paradise" and many more. With a book by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia (My Name is Earl, Raising Hope) and Emmy Award nominee Mike O'Malley (Survivor's Remorse, Shameless), this rousing and refreshing new production is choreographed by Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine (Come From Away, Rock of Ages) and directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley (Come From Away, Memphis). Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the water's warm and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of.

Kinky Boots Opens Jan 19, 2018
Jones Hall for the Performing Arts Kinky Boots

Pop icon Cyndi Lauper made history as the first solo woman ever to receive the Tony for Best Score thanks to her contributions to Broadway's high-heeled hit, Kinky Boots. The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kinky Boots tells the story (based on actual events) of Charlie Price, who has inherited his father's nearly bankrupt shoe factory. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible. Along the way, Lola helps Charlie become the man he's meant to be. Featuring direction and Tony-winning choreography by Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Hairspray) and a spectacularly uplifting book by four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage aux Folles), this red-hot musical smash can be enjoyed at the Jones Hall for the Performing Arts in Houston.
