Obsidian has come a long way! Since the Bootown, formerly known as Houston Fringe Festival in May of 2010, Obsidian has completed dressing room construction, installed central air conditioning, additional bathrooms, a new roof, ADA compliant ramps and rails, and two new interior walls which enclose our performance space and create a black box theatre. Our flexible, non-permanent risers and stackable chairs help maintain the space's versatility and accommodate a variety of arts events. Our theater is more than a performance space but as a performance space, we want nothing to limit the imagination.
